As written by Frank B. Zink, "Beavercreek Township is one of the original four townships in this section of the state. It extended as far north as Lake Erie. It is a beautiful valley, fertile, well timbered, rolling and picturesque. It is noted for its fine farms. The high ridge separating Beaver Creek and Mad River is a particularly fine fruit section." Beavercreek Township encompasses 50 square miles of Greene County, and is bordered by Fairborn, Xenia, Sugarcreek, and Dayton.

    Saturday, September 30, 2017 – Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek Township will be closed one day for sewer installation. The closure will be between Beaver Valley Road and Meadow Drive. Weather permitting.

    Due to there being no business before the Zoning Commission, the September 7, 2017 regularly scheduled meeting has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be October 5, 2017.

    "Attention Bow Hunters!"

    Beavercreek Township is seeking qualified bow hunters to help control the deer population at Pershing ‘Neatherton’ Park (44+ acres) located at 1101 Fairground Road, and at McCalmont Park (66.57 acres) located at 1940 Indian Ripple Road. Eight (8) hunters and two (2) alternates will be selected by the Board of Township Trustees.

    What's in your water and soil? Don't know? Well, Greene County is holding their 11th Annual Test Your Well Water & Soil Event on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 4:30pm-7:00pm at Greene County Fairgrounds in the Dining Hall (Turn left in side gate) 120 Fairground Road, Xenia, OH. No appointment needed. Bring in a well water sample (fill a clean 16.9oz. water bottle) for nitrate and iron screening. Free confidential results. See the flyer for more information.

    The Greene County Sanitary Engineering Department implemented a new billing software program. This program had technical difficulties which led to a delay in the issuance of bills. Bills were mailed out August 2, 2017. Your bill will cover both the June, July and August billing periods. The service usage for these three billing periods were combined. The June portion of this bill will be based on the meter readings obtained in May, while July & August usage were estimated. Please know penalties will not be charged for the current bill due August 31st.

    The American Heart Association recognized the Beavercreek Township Fire Department at the June 12, 2017 Township Trustees Meeting achieving the 2017 Mission Lifeline EMS Gold Performance Achievement Award.  Beavercreek Township Fire Department is part of an elite group of prehospital agencies in the US focused on not just "high functioning" but also "high quality" STEMI systems of care.  They join 627 other EMS agencies in the US and 1 of 60 other EMS agencies in Ohio that are receiving the 2017 American Heart Association Mission:Lifeline EMS Gold Performance Achievement Award.

    The National Weather Service has confirmed an F-0 tornado touchdown in the Township.  


    Residents impacted by the recent storms who have insurance questions can call the Ohio Department of Insurance at 800-686-1526. They can provide information on how to file a claim and answer any questions free of charge.

    Consistent with procedures provided in the Ohio Revised Code, Beavercreek Township and certain qualified voters, contested the election results as to Beavercreek Township Issue 14, a .90 mills levy for Police purposes. The contest was due to votes cast in the incorporated areas of Beavercreek Township being included in the final count. Upon recount by the Board of Elections of, those residing in only the unincorporated areas of the Township, Beavercreek Township Issue 14 has passed and the final results have been certified to the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.

    The Beavercreek Township Board of Zoning Appeals currently has an opening for an alternate board member. Anyone living in the unincorporated portion of the Township who is interested in serving on the board should fill out the application and submit it to: Beavercreek Township Zoning Administrator, 851 Orchard Lane, Beavercreek, OH 45434, or scan in the application and email to lbrown@beavercreektownship.org.
