Department Overview

Beavercreek Township’s Information Technology Department manages and maintains the metropolitan area network computer system used by Beavercreek Township employees and staff.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the information technology department  include the upkeeping of the following for Beavercreek Township's department or division:

  • Helpdesk functions
  • Microwave, fiber optic, and copper network infrastructure
  • Servers
  • Software
  • Workstations

These responsibilities encompass the following:

  • Authentication/security protocols
  • Email systems
  • File servers
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA-mandate) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) run report databases
  • Storage-area networks (SANS)

Additionally, all VoIP and PBX-based phone systems within the Township are managed by the Information Technology Department.
